This is a gentle treatment for the face and head in a supported position, wrapped up cosy and warm. Organic products are used to cleanse, tone and moisturise the skin, while specific acu-pressure points are stimulated for complete relaxation and the extraordinary feeling of having had a full body treatment.
The following article appeared in the ‘Food for Thought’ section of London magazine Green Events in February 2006.
“This facial is ideal for anyone having an ugly week that needs a good pick-me-up or a scrap-me-off-the-floor-me-up. After mine I looked visibly brighter and fresher and somehow it felt as if I’d had a full body massage.”

Far from being relaxing, having a facial can be a pretty grim experience, what with having all that gunk squeezed out of your face. A facial simply isn’t the type of thing you have to help forget your troubles and unwind, unless of course you have a holistic facial. Lucy has developed her own for people who want to be pampered, feel beautiful and relax in style without all the nasties of a normal facial.
Her holistic facial combines a head, face, neck, shoulder and upper chest massage with pressure-point techniques and the cleansing properties of a normal treatment. She uses natural and organic products to cleanse, tone and moisturise the skin. There are certainly no pointer fingers pushing out blackheads. In fact her holistic facial is nothing less than a completely nurturing experience. Everything from my eyebrows to my ears and all the bits in between were carefully and lovingly attended to. My shoulders got a good rub down, my scalp got well and truly invigorated by some careful hair-pulling and my face got a great workout.
This facial is ideal for anyone having an ugly week that needs a good pick-me-up or a scrap-me-off-the-floor-me-up. After mine I looked visibly brighter and fresher and somehow it felt as if I’d had a full body massage. I suppose that’s the beauty of a holistic facial because it reaches parts others facials can’t reach. For this reason I think it would also be perfect for people who don’t feel comfortable having a full body massage but still want the benefits of one – maybe because they’re ill, elderly or a bit shy. For some people massage can be quite intrusive but this holistic facial definitely isn’t. In fact during it I realised just how precious the gift of massage actually is. I felt pretty humbled and grateful by the whole experience. This is one facial you won’t find in any normal beauticians.
