Saturday 5 September, 9.30-11am at Shilbottle Community Hall, £10
“Doing and Being”
A yoga class with Lucy at Shilbottle Community Hall including active and restorative practice and the philosophical theme of abhyāsa vairāgya, action and reflection or ‘doing’ and ‘being’.
Implicit in the practice of yoga is a distinction between moments of action, and moments of reflection. Some of our practices are more about ‘doing’ or changing something about ourselves. Some of our practices are more about ‘being’ and finding ease with who we already are. These are two sides of the same coin and are of equal importance. My teacher Ranju Roy describes them as being like the two wings of a bird – both needed to fly!
