Winter Wellness in Northumberland

Enjoy the Northumberland Coast in all its Winter glory.

Our yoga retreat is the perfect base for a winter wellness break and we look forward to welcoming you to our home. We provide bespoke high quality, healing and relaxing experiences to help you slow down, breathe deeply, and find contentment in the joy of ‘just being.’

With the Summer crowds long gone you can literally have a beach to yourself and you can soak up the vast open skies and spectacular sunrises.

Your retreat will begin with a luxurious spruce foot bath and a home cooked vegetarian meal (special diets catered for). You can then choose either a massage or restorative yoga session to prepare you for a great night’s sleep. We recommend a warming massage with hot herbs but you can choose any of Lucy’s massage treatments.

Wake up in time for sun rise (at the civilized hour of 8.00am) and enjoy your morning yoga in our studio or at the nearby beach. Whether you’re a total beginner or a long term practitioner we can tailor the session to you.

Accommodation is in our guest suite above the yoga studio where you will have access to all three bedrooms and a private bathroom (no sharing – if you book on your own you get the place to yourself).

Thanks for an amazing time at your beautiful place. As a therapist myself I’m quite fussy to find a good massage therapist. Lucy’s treatment was just wonderful and intuitive. Loved all the yoga classes! Lucy works a lot with the breath. She tailored the sessions to my needs so at the end of day 3 I really could tell a difference. The location of this place is just amazing. Will miss sitting in bed with my cuppa to watch the beautiful sunrises every morning.

All three rooms are welcoming and exceptionally clean and well maintained. The beds are so comfortable made up with quality linen and each bed had little gifts of shampoo, soap and bath bubbles oh and gorgeous chocolates! If you want somewhere comfortable in a peaceful location then this is for you.

Winter Wellness retreats are available on selected dates in December, January and February, arriving on Tuesday, Friday or Saturday. A non-refundable* deposit of £150 is required to secure your chosen date.

Our online booking system is designed to handle appointments so when you ‘check availability’ it will show you the dates available as a two hour appointment called ‘Arrival date and deposit’. If you proceed with the booking it will ask for your £150 payment and let us know you’d like to arrive on that day. We will be in touch to finalise the details.

*if you are unable to attend due to Covid or Winter weather we will gladly reschedule your booking and transfer your deposit.

Single night package (Tuesday, Friday or Saturday)

All inclusive yoga, massage and B&B tailored completely for you. This package includes spruce foot soak, one evening session of restorative yoga and/or massage, a sunrise yoga class in the studio or at the beach, a home cooked evening meal on your day of arrival and breakfast before you depart.

Two night package (arrive Friday)

2 nights all inclusive yoga, massage and B&B tailored completely for you. This package includes a spruce foot bath, two evening sessions of restorative yoga and/or massage, two sunrise yoga classes in the studio or at the beach, two home cooked evening meals, one packed lunch and breakfast both days.

  • Solo – £300
  • Duo – £432 (£216 pp)
  • Trio – £570 (£190 pp)
  • Extra night B&B only – £50 / £75 / £90

We have some workshops planned in December and January you could combine with a winter wellness retreat:

  • Wednesdays 1 December and 5 January – Postpartum Yoga (stay Tuesday night)
  • Sunday 19 December and 16 January – Pregnancy Yoga (stay Saturday night)
