Saturday 5 January 9.30am-3.30pm
An opportunity to retreat in the magical grounds of Brinkburn Northumberland, set in a secluded wooded ravine on the banks of the river Coquet.
A day of inquiry into moving and breathing with Lucy Maresh.
How can we use yoga asana (postures) to impact our breathing?
And how might we use our breath to impact our practice of yoga asana?
We will practice together by the fireside in the White Room. This is a beautiful space, usually used for weddings but equally perfect for yoga and relaxation.
There will be movement in the morning (suitable for all) and restorative poses in the afternoon. The intention is to offer a Breathing Space from which to move forward into the New Year with grace and enthusiasm!
9.30 Meet at carpark (full directions supplied when booking)
10-12 Yoga – Moving and Breathing
12-2 Lunch and free time to explore the grounds (alone or with a guide)
2-3.30 Restorative Yoga – Breathing into Stillness
A simple lunch of soup and bread will be served in the adjacent stables dining room. You are welcome to bring salads and sweets for sharing.
There will be time during the lunch break to explore the magical grounds which includes the 12th century priory and woodland walks.
The cost of the day is £40.00 per person. Bookings can be made directly with Lucy by email or in person.
