Wednesday’s postnatal yoga class is a unique approach to yoga for new mothers together with their babies. The class combines appropriate postnatal exercise for new mums with songs, massages and movements for the babies. The postnatal exercise includes pelvic floor exercises, stabilising postures to strengthen the legs and rebuild core strength as well as techniques for relaxation with your baby.
Common postnatal problems such as split rectus muscles, pelvic floor weakness, C-section recovery, back pain, wrist pain and exhaustion are covered. Lucy has extensive training in specialist yoga for pregnancy and the postpartum period. This class is suitable from birth until your baby is crawling. You are welcome to get in touch if you have any concerns about the suitability of this class for you or your baby.

Bookings and Payments
Your first postnatal class (with each new baby) is always free of charge. Thereafter you can pay as you go £10 per class or book a block of 4 classes (£30). The 4 classes do not have to be consecutive weeks but must be used within an 8 week time frame. If you have classes left over from last term or from pregnancy yoga you can use these up. If meeting the cost of classes is an issue please let us know.
We operate a booking system for all classes. Bookings can be paid in person, by email or on the phone. Once you have booked your class(es) you will receive a confirmation email and also a reminder email 48 hours before the class. Where possible please let us know at least 24 hours in advance if you will not be able to attend the class. Occasional last-minute cancellations will be forgiven – babies are unpredicatable!
