Since the workshop I’ve made a real effort to let go of the need to keep on ‘rushing around’ and being ‘efficient’ during my period.
I’m resting into my feminine time now, and I’m finding that I feel SO peaceful in the lead up to and during my period, and have had ZERO pain!

A wonderful find. I stayed here as part of a residential yoga retreat. Would highly recommend it. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Very friendly hosts. And the Yoga was wonderful. Lucy is clearly extremely experienced and knowledgeable and takes time to understand each individuals needs. I came away feeling relaxed and restored. Will definitely be back.
I cannot recommend Lucy’s pregnancy and postnatal yoga classes enough. As a first time Mum they were an amazing place to go and learn about all the changes, physically and emotionally, that were happening to me. Learning to relax and using her yoga nidras prepared me for labour and enabled me to deliver at a midwife led unit with no pain relief. It was also a great place to make friends with other Mums to be.
Three friends and I enjoyed an exceptionally relaxing and rejuvenating weekend yoga retreat at A Space to Be. Lucy and Henry are excellent hosts and our individually tailored package included yoga and massages. Breakfast, evening meal, snacks and afternoon tea and cake were delicious and plentiful. We also managed to fit in a walk into Alnmouth and an evening meal at the great, local Indian restaurant which is a short walk from ASTB. We really didn’t want to leave!
Cannot recommend Lucy and the work she does highly enough. Amazing classes, a chance to meet other mums or mums to be, and a huge source of support and information. My first pregnancy, birth and 6 months with my little one would have been a very different experience without her.
I booked this for my Mam for her birthday and she had a really brilliant time! The accommodation was lovely and she really, really enjoyed the yoga and Thai massage! She came home on Sunday feeling incredibly refreshed!
Lucy is a great therapist who makes you feel at ease and is always considerate to ensure she is applying the right amount of pressure and seeking feedback on what she can feel in your body… For anyone considering having a massage I would highly recommend it – whether you feel you have tension building and have a physical need or you want to have more of a pamper session to lift your spirits.
Lucy and Henry are wonderful hosts who are welcoming, helpful and flexible. The bedroom is spacious and the bed is really comfortable. Breakfast and dinner, if arranged, is tasty and nutritious. Lucy’s restorative yoga workshop was just lovely! I also had a massage and found her sensitive, experienced and very good at what she does.
