Hands-on practical sessions for you and your birth partner to learn postures, breathing and massage techniques for labour and birth.
All types of birth partner are welcome.
Ideally your first session should be taken at around 30-32 weeks of pregnancy, allowing some time to practice the techniques and to schedule the follow-up workshop if interested.
Each session is 75 minutes or you can book two or three sessions together if you want to make a day of it or are staying with us on retreat.

Session 1 – The Basics
- Third Trimester Wellbeing and Oxytocin Plan
- The Role of the Birth Partner (before, during and after birth)
- Optimum positions for labour and birth with breathing and massage techniques
- Deep Relaxation and Visualisation
The ideal time for this session is 28-32 weeks pregnant.
Session 2 – Going Deeper
- Creating Birth Intentions
- Signs and Stages of Labour
- Postures, Breathing and Massage for each stage.
- Advocacy – how and what to ask as pregnancy/labour progresses?
The ideal time for this session is 32-36 weeks pregnant.
Session 3 – Fully Prepared
- Revision of sessions 1 and 2 (and troubleshooting positions/massage)
- Adapting to changes of plan
- The Fourth Trimester – early days, maternal wellbeing, breastfeeding, role of partner.
- Postnatal Recovery Yoga and Self Care Massage
The ideal time for this session is 36-40 weeks pregnant.
