A little outing last week to the standing stones at Duddo - made all the more atmospheric by the sea of yellow in the fields.
We now have very limited availability for weekend retreats (Friday-Sunday) - just two dates left this summer - 10-12 June and 24-26 June.
Most of our guests are individuals or couples seeking a quiet space, some personal yoga tuition or therapies, or just a handy base to explore the Northumberland Coast.
Feeling very pleased this week to have taken our first booking from someone who wants to use our fancy new EV charger.
Yoga for All at Shilbottle Hall
It’s a lovely time to visit if your favourite colour is yellow!
Summer Yoga Retreats!
As well as workshops and retreats here at our studio I run a programme of weekly yoga courses that can be accessed online or at our lovely local hall.
Time is precious, but "busy-ness" is like water – it flows into anywhere there is a gap for it.

An inauspiciously cold, grey and gloomy labyrinth journey to transition into the lightest quarter of the year.
Summer is coming and this weekend, what is now fondly known as ‘the early May bank holiday’ was once better known as the festival of Beltane. We are half way between the Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice and entering the lightest quarter of the year (here in the Northern hemisphere).
Open. Closed.
Last week I was in Cambridge.
I have an in person workshop coming up on Saturday 23 April on Yoga Sutra 2.30 - the five yama.
I first caught a glimpse of Schiehallion (this marvellously pointy mountain) when my daughter was a baby in 2013.

Believe me, I'm the last person who would try to argue that the immediate postpartum is not a tough time.
One week to go until our next pregnancy workshop!
Labyrinth Walking - a ritual which I undertake at regular intervals throughout the year to honour the changing seasons and embody the process of transition and transformation.
Yoga for You AND Your Baby!
Final call for pregnancy yoga tomorrow - Sunday 3 April - at @aspacetobeyogaretreat in Shilbottle.
Everything I need is already within me.
Sending love to all on Mothers Day, especially those of you with newborns. Here is a very special love letter from your baby, written by Jess Urlichs @jessurlichs_writer
